sematicon AG – with expert skills in industrial IT security „Made in Germany“ – and Alpha Strike Labs GmbH – specialised in industrial cyber security services – have entered into a strategic development partnership. The consolidated IT-/ (I)IoT security know-how of sematicon and Alpha Strike Labs delivers tailor-made security solutions for plants and machines of industrial customers. By using the PLC-guard module, the possibilities extend considerably and new security features are added.

Industrial control systems and critical infrastructures have to be operated securely and without interruption. At the same time, they also have to be integrated into digital Industry 4.0 processes. In an attempt to meet these requirements, traditional IT security reaches its limits. This is where the expectations in industrial cyber security differ from those in IT security.

About Alpha Strike Labs

Alpha Strike Labs are an innovative security consulting company specialised in industrial security and advanced security assessments based in Berlin, Vienna and Hagenberg. Vulnerability and assessment researches are conducted in order to develop better solutions in detecting cyber attacks on OT systems.

Their main research focuses on the detection of potential external threats by open source intelligence and comprehensive internet scans. Excellent technological expertise results from their academic background and combined with hands-on experiences due to numerous consulting projects, new methods are continously developed to add customer value.

Alpha Strike Labs’ innovative approaches were awarded with a nomination among the best 18 security start-ups 2018 in the DACH region at the UP18@it-sa Security-Start-Up competition.
